West World Holding’s McKinney Green Office Building, the first privately developed LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certified platinum building in the United States, incorporates several design elements to minimize its impact on the natural environment.

• Captured rainwater is used for irrigation
• The site uses no potable water
• A highly efficient heating/cooling system utilizes the ground to absorb and dissipate heat energy
• Uses 60 percent less energy than a typical office building
• 50 percent of building materials contained recycled content
• Local manufacturers supplied 20 percent of the materials used to develop the site
• Electrical power is being purchased from a wind farm
• Alternate fuel vehicles are accommodated and employee use of bicycles is encouraged
